It has come to the knowledge of the Election Commission of Bhutan that the students and teachers of educational institutions, colleges and schools who had been registered as postal voters during the primary round and wishing to vote by postal ballot during the GE have not updated their address. As a result of this, their postal ballots are being redirected to Bhutan Post because of incorrect addresses and phone numbers. Given that these postal voters are currently on vacation, the Bhutan Post has been facing challenges in getting their postal ballots delivered to the addresses provided to the ECB. Therefore, the concerned registered postal voters are urged to collect their respective postal ballots in their names and addresses from the nearest Bhutan Post offices. Such voters must ensure to return the postal ballots to the respective Returning Officers immediately upon casting their votes so that the ballots reach their constituency on time.
