Election Commissioner Chogyal Dago Rigdzin leads a two person Bhutanese delegation comprising of Dzongkhag Electoral Officer of Dzongkhag Administration, Thimphu Choni Dorji and left on 28th of October 2014 to attend the Association of Asian Election Authorities (AAEA) General Assembly at New Delhi to be held from 29th -31st of October, 2014 at the invitation of the Chief Election Commissioner of India Shri V. S. Sampath.
The Assembly will discuss the amendment of the Charter of AAEA and the admission for new members and election of the office bearers including the Chairperson, the Vice-Chairperson and the members of the Executive Board.
Election Commission of Bhutan is member of AAEA, the Asian Body since 2009 besides the FEMBoSA and the A-WEB.
