The Election Commission of Bhutan, under Section 457 of the Election Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan, 2008, hereby notifies the general public that Mr. Indra Prasad Monger of Tashiyangjong Chiwog of Kilkhorthang Gewog under Tsirang Dzongkhag has been successfully elected as the Gewog Tshogde Tshogpa of Tashiyangjong Chiwog at the poll held on 3rd November, 2022.
The overall voter turnout and registered voter information are as follows:
- Total Registered Voters: = 380 (198 Male & 182 Female)
- Total Number of Votes Cast: = 109 (62 Male & 47 Female)
i. EVM Votes: = 83
ii. Postal Votes: = 26 - Voter Turnout: = 28.68 %

It is also hereby being notified that as per Section 580 of the Election Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan, 2008, the member elected to fill the casual vacancy shall only serve for the remainder term of the 3rd Local Government.
The general public and all stakeholders may note that the Election Petition Period of 10 working days for this Bye-Election starts from today and would end at 5 p.m. of 19th November, 2022.
