The Election Commission of Bhutan, pursuant to Notification ECB/NOTIF-01/2021/4250 dated 17th March 2021 and as required under Section 118 of the Election Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan, 2008, is pleased to hereby issue the Final Electoral Roll for the Dzongkhag Thromdes of Thimphu, Phuentshogling and Gelegphu.
The Final Electoral Roll, after due incorporation of changes from the Dzongkhags during the “Claims and Objections” period from 18th to 27th March, 2021, has a total of 10,481 voters of which 5,547 are females and 4,934 males as on 1st January 2021, the qualifying date for the Thromde Elections 2021.
The Demkhong-wise breakup of the Electoral Roll is as follows:
Out of the total registered voters in the three Thromdes, 1,542 have registered as Postal Voter.
An individual Voter can check his/her voter registration status and information about Polling Station on the website of Election Commission of Bhutan: www.ecb.bt under Check your Enrollment link using the Citizenship Identity Card Number and date of birth to avail access.
The Electoral Roll can be inspected at the respective Dzongkhag Election Offices or the Offices of the Returning Officer or at the Election Commission of Bhutan, Head Office at Kawajangsa, Thimphu.
