After the successful conduction of the Second Local Government Elections 2016, to further enhanced and improved the electoral process accordingly, the Election Commission of Bhutan conducted “The Learning From Experience Programme (LEP)” of LG Elections 2016 with various stakeholders to collect their feedback and recommendations from field experience.
Heads of Department and Division Chiefs lead by Policy and Planning Coordination Division is undertaking a 5 day LEP Retreat Programme in Phuntshogling to assess and evaluate election machinery, process and procedures and develop strategy with the goal of further strengthening the electoral management system to ensure better conduct of elections in near future.
