The Election Commission of Bhutan (ECB) hereby notifies the registered voters, eligible for postal ballot under Section 331 of the Election Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan, 2008, to register for the postal ballot facility for the upcoming National Assembly Elections, 2023-24. The duly completed form have to be submitted to the Human Resource Officer (HRO) or the Administration/Management of respective Ministry/Agency/Administration. The relevant registration forms, namely, Postal Ballot Form No. 1A for in-country and Postal Ballot Form No. 2A for overseas, can be downloaded from the ECB’s website www.ecb.bt.
Similarly, overseas students and trainees, eligible for postal ballot, can register by emailing the duly completed Postal Ballot Form No. 2A to pboverseas@ecb.bt of the Postal Ballot Unit, ECB.
For teachers and students, as indicated in section 3.2 of the Postal Ballot Form No. 1A, a separate address may be provided if there is a change in address or marked “EVM” if they wish to vote at the polling station of their Demkhong during the General Elections.
The postal ballot registration will close on 20th October, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
